Bill's trenching... I think everyone was at awe of the quality of the dirt up here in this part of the world...it's better than any bag of potting soil in any gardening store anywhere!
Sunday October 25 was a beautiful sunny Spring like day... so LeRoy got a hoe out and started working on a garden...we had to do some serious talking to him to convince him that it really was the end of October...
Oh...this is a look at the bunk room before the beds were made that first night...notice it's after 10:00 pm...although we didn't feel it at the time...it had already been a long day!
One of the things that we feel bad about...is that the guys didn't have any time to really get out and see about the region...it was just such an intense time of being productive that although it was always on our minds..there just wasn't much opportunity for it...however...Bill, Brandon, Dan and Larry were able to take some time off to drive out in the field and around the country roads for a spell during some sunny weather here.This picture is looking North from the Lodge.
Here's Larry the last day...I think he is texting Kathy to inform her that he may be staying up here for another week...or month....I am not sure what her response was however...Larry was in Dan's truck when they drove off...
It's October 27th Tuesday morning and the first crew was packed and ready to head home to Indiana...seeing this photo right now...my mind is just full of great memories of those few days together with all of these folks...I don't even know what to say at this point other than...thank God for all of them and their willingness to be such a vital part of the construction of this place...I'll stop now before I go all mushy on you all...
